Ag ag, no chance.
Has an old Library bus that he completely renovated into a large mobile home. We stayed on it one night in Mablethorpe.
Became good friends when I lived in Nottingham after he became my DJ mates driver when he was a private hire driver.

Re: Hell's Angels
My first lodger was an ex-HE. Diminutive little cunt but absolutely nobody in the village fucked with him.

I said he could stay short term but don't fuck with my home.

He was as good as gold and we became really good mates; he ended up staying 2 years rather than the 2 months we agreed on to help him out of the shit he found himself in.

He was an amazingly good cook*, too, which only helped with the Sunday lunch club that built up over the time I was in the village.

He eventually got a drum of his own in the centre of the village, which I found out later was due to a recommendation from me to the council. I have absolutely no recollection of even discussing that sort of thing with anybody, so clearly, all he needed was a couple of "clean" years to get back on track; he knew the right people.

* - made amazing dope cakes which one friend mistook as current buns and, one evening, took a bagful to work up at a warehouse in Park Street. We had to go pick him up at about midnight - he was totally zonked and spent the next 18 hours sleeping on my sofa.

Good Times.

Re: Hell's Angels
During my teenage years, I lived in the coastal town of Porthcawl, which had a largeish fairground and loads of pubs.

May and August bank holiday weekends saw dozens of hells, angels, converging on the town, and they were some of the most solid decent blokes I'd come across. There was never any trouble and they all drank in the Knights Arms, the landlord of which was an ex-chapter leader who they all respected/feared.

When I used to go to the fair to work I'd see loads of blokes from the valleys in full HA gear, and carrying a helmet, getting off the busses. It was bizarre.

Re: Hell's Angels
In the classic movie The Wild One 1953 there is a scene with the original Hells Angels. They were mainly ex-US Airforce servicemen .Hence the leather flying jackets. After flying day bombing raids etc these guys were pretty fearless and fucked up and didn't give a fuck.hence their reputation.

The ones after after are fucking pansies in comparison.

Think the Canadian Angels leave the Danish lot in the shade...

"The Quebec Biker War (French: Guerre des motards au Québec) was a turf war in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, lasting from 1994 to 2002, between the Quebec branch of the Hells Angels and the Rock Machine. The war left 162 people dead, including civilians."

Don't they have to rub excrement into their jackets and never wash it ?? Seems very unhygienic to me.

Re: Hell's Angels
Didn't it all kick off in Denmark 1996.
Think the hells angels brought Copenhagen to a standstill.
